1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TriAstra's mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and TriAstra.
Age Requirement. TriAstra is intended for users 18 years of age and older. By creating an account or using the Service, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction if higher. The Service is not directed to and may not be used by anyone under 18. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that we determine belong to users below the minimum age.
2. Service Description
TriAstra provides an astrology application that combines Western, Vedic, and Saju (Four Pillars of Destiny) astrological systems to generate personalized birth charts and interpretations. Our Service includes:
- Triple-system astrological chart calculation using Swiss Ephemeris precision
- Astra AI advisor for chart interpretation and guidance powered by Google Gemini AI
- Relationship compatibility analysis across three astrological systems
- Daily cosmic weather and personalized astrological insights
- AI-generated reports and interpretations (premium features)
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with or without notice.
3. User Accounts
You may create an account using Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or a single-use email Magic Link. TriAstra does not maintain user-set passwords.
To access certain features of the Service, you may be required to create an account. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Providing accurate and complete birth data for chart calculations
- Notifying us immediately at support@triastra.ai of any unauthorized use of your account
- Ensuring you meet the minimum age requirement (18 years or age of majority in your jurisdiction)
You may not share your account credentials with others or allow others to access your account. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent subscription limits or access restrictions.
Apple as third-party beneficiary (iOS). For the iOS version of the TriAstra mobile application, Apple Inc. and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and, upon your acceptance of these Terms, have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary thereof.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Subscription Plans
TriAstra offers both free and premium subscription tiers (monthly and annual). Premium features include unlimited AI consultations, advanced relationship analysis, AI-generated reports, and priority support. Current pricing is available on our website and in-app.
4.2 Billing and Renewal
- Subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annual)
- Payment is processed through Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or Paddle (web purchases)
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
- You will be charged at the beginning of each billing period
- Prices are subject to change with 30 days' advance notice to existing subscribers
4.3 One-Time Purchases
Certain premium features may be available as one-time in-app purchases (IAP), including:
- Relationship compatibility analysis reports
- AI-generated detailed chart interpretations
- Unlock full chart access for specific profiles
One-time purchases are non-refundable once the content is delivered, except as required by applicable law (see our Refund Policy).
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or the platform you purchased through (App Store, Google Play). Cancellation will take effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that date.
4.5 Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Generally, we offer a 7-day money-back guarantee on first-time subscription purchases.
4.6 Web Purchases via Paddle
Purchases made through our website (triastra.ai) or via the ChatGPT App integration are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 08212246). Paddle acts as the merchant of record for all web purchases, meaning Paddle is the legal seller for these transactions.
- Paddle handles payment processing, tax collection, and invoicing on our behalf
- Your purchase contract for web transactions is with Paddle, not directly with TriAstra
- Paddle's Buyer Terms apply to all web purchases: https://www.paddle.com/legal/terms
- Payment data shared with Paddle is governed by Paddle's Privacy Policy: https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy
For refunds on web purchases, refer to our Refund Policy (Web Purchases via Paddle section) or contact contact@triastra.ai.
5. User Content and Data
By submitting birth data, questions, or other content to the Service, you grant TriAstra a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, process, and store this data to provide and improve the Service.
We handle all personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your birth data and may request deletion at any time by contacting support@triastra.ai.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to submit all data you provide to the Service and that such data does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.
5.1 Referral Program
Registered users may share TriAstra with friends through the in-app referral program. When a referred friend creates an account using your link, you and your friend may each receive a reward (such as bonus credits, an extended trial, or other promotional benefit). Additional rewards may be granted when a referred friend completes their first purchase. Reward amounts, eligibility, and expiry are described in the in-app referral screen and may change without prior notice.
The following activities are prohibited and will result in forfeiture of any unearned referral rewards and possible account suspension:
- Self-referrals, or referring accounts you control;
- Creating fake or duplicate accounts to redeem referral rewards;
- Spam, mass-messaging, or unsolicited distribution of referral links;
- Paid advertising that targets TriAstra brand terms without prior written authorization;
- Any other conduct intended to manipulate referral attribution or rewards.
TriAstra may modify, suspend, or end the referral program at any time, with reasonable notice for prospective changes. Rewards already earned through legitimate referrals remain valid until used or expired.
6. AI-Generated Content (EU AI Act Compliance)
AI Transparency Notice (EU AI Act Article 52):
TriAstra uses artificial intelligence systems (Google Gemini AI) to generate chart interpretations, relationship analyses, and personalized insights. This content is produced by an AI system, not by a human astrologer.
6.1 AI System Description
- Provider: Google Gemini AI (third-party AI system)
- Purpose: Generate astrological interpretations based on traditional astrological principles and your birth chart data
- Input Data: Birth date, time, location, planetary positions, and user questions
- Output: Text-based interpretations, insights, and guidance
6.2 AI Limitations and User Responsibilities
- AI-generated content may contain errors, inconsistencies, or outdated information
- AI interpretations are based on patterns and training data, not human intuition or professional expertise
- You should not rely solely on AI-generated content for major life decisions
- AI outputs are probabilistic and may vary between sessions
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
6.2.1 AI Hallucination Warning
Important: AI hallucinations are inherent and unavoidable in large language model systems. These models routinely generate plausible-sounding but factually incorrect, misleading, or entirely fabricated information.
The following categories of AI-generated content are particularly prone to inaccuracy and should never be relied upon:
- Specific dates or predictions: AI cannot predict future events. Any dates, timelines, or forecasts are generated patterns, not prophecies.
- Health-related statements: AI-generated health insights are not medical advice. Always consult qualified healthcare professionals.
- Financial or investment suggestions: AI outputs are not financial advice. Consult licensed financial advisors for investment decisions.
- Relationship guidance: AI-generated relationship insights are for reflection only, not professional counseling.
- Personality or character claims: AI-generated personality descriptions are interpretive patterns, not definitive assessments.
Japan AUPMR Compliance: In accordance with the Act on the Utilization and Protection of Machine-Generated Content, all AI-generated content in TriAstra is clearly labeled and users are advised that such content may contain errors.
Korea Terms and Conditions Act Compliance: Per the Korean Act on the Regulation of Terms and Conditions, TriAstra's AI-generated content disclaimers are presented clearly and conspicuously. Users retain the right to seek professional advice independent of any AI-generated content.
6.3 Ownership of AI-Generated Content
AI-generated interpretations created for your personal use are provided under a limited personal license. You may view, download, and use this content for personal, non-commercial purposes only. You may not redistribute, republish, or commercially exploit AI-generated content without our prior written consent.
7. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the Service, including but not limited to charts, interpretations, software, text, graphics, logos, user interface, algorithms, and the Astra AI system, are owned by TriAstra or our licensors and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of our Service or included software, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of that software, unless laws prohibit these restrictions or you have our written permission.
8. Entertainment Disclaimer
⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE: TriAstra is provided for entertainment and personal insight purposes only.
- Our Service does NOT provide professional advice of any kind (medical, legal, financial, psychological, or therapeutic)
- Astrological interpretations should not be used as the sole basis for major life decisions
- AI-generated insights are based on traditional astrological principles and should be considered guidance, not certainty or prediction
- TriAstra does not predict specific future events or guarantee outcomes
- Consult qualified professionals (doctors, lawyers, financial advisors, therapists) for matters requiring expert advice
- If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis hotline immediately
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Infringe on the intellectual property rights of TriAstra or third parties
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
- Circumvent subscription limits or payment systems
- Share your account credentials with others
10. Account Termination
10.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Delete Account in the app, from our web deletion page, or by contacting support@triastra.ai. Upon termination, your account is suspended immediately and permanently deleted from our active systems after a 14-day cancellation grace window, in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Residual copies in encrypted backups are permanently overwritten within 90 days.
10.2 Termination by TriAstra
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe:
- Violates these Terms or our Privacy Policy
- Is harmful to other users, us, or third parties
- Involves fraudulent or illegal activity
- Exposes us to legal liability
Accounts terminated for violations of these Terms are not eligible for refunds.
10.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination of your account, you will immediately lose access to all premium features, saved data, and AI consultation history. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability) will survive termination.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TRIASTRA AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Service
- Any decisions or actions taken based on AI-generated content or astrological interpretations
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
- Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in Service content
- Any conduct or content of third parties on the Service
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO TRIASTRA IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF CERTAIN DAMAGES, SO SOME OR ALL OF THE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
12. Dispute Resolution
12.1 Informal Resolution
Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at contact@triastra.ai to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve disputes amicably.
12.2 Arbitration Agreement (US Users)
Scope. For users residing in the United States, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service that cannot be resolved informally under Section 12.1 shall be resolved by binding arbitration, rather than in court, except as carved out below.
Forum and rules. Arbitration shall be administered by JAMS pursuant to its Streamlined Arbitration Rules and Procedures by a single arbitrator. The seat of arbitration is Seoul, Republic of Korea, and the arbitrator may conduct hearings remotely by video conference at the request of either party. Each party bears its own arbitration costs unless the arbitrator allocates them otherwise. The arbitrator's award is final and binding.
Carve-outs. Notwithstanding the foregoing, either party may (a) bring an individual action in small-claims court for claims within that court's jurisdiction, and (b) seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement, misappropriation, or violation of intellectual-property rights.
Class-action waiver. Disputes are resolved on an individual basis only. You and TriAstra each waive the right to participate in a class action, class arbitration, or other representative proceeding. If this class-action waiver is held unenforceable, the entire arbitration agreement in this Section 12.2 shall be unenforceable and disputes shall proceed in the courts identified in Section 13.
30-day opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by sending written notice to contact@triastra.ai with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" within 30 days of first accepting these Terms. Opting out does not affect any other provision of these Terms.
Severability. If any portion of this Section 12.2 is held invalid or unenforceable as to a particular dispute, that portion shall be severed and the remainder of these Terms shall continue in full force and effect.
12.3 EU Out-of-Court Dispute Resolution
The European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued on 20 July 2025 and no longer accepts new complaints. European Union consumers may seek out-of-court dispute resolution through their national consumer-authority or the European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net): https://eccnet.eu/. This is in addition to your statutory rights under EU consumer protection law and to your right (see Section 13) to bring an action in the courts of your country of residence.
12.4 Class Action Waiver
You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. This waiver does not apply where prohibited by law.
13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Mandatory consumer protections are preserved. Nothing in this section overrides the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence. In particular:
- European Union, United Kingdom, EEA, Switzerland: consumers retain the protections of their home Member State, including the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and the General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR for UK consumers).
- Japan: consumers retain the protections of the Consumer Contract Act (消費者契約法), the Act on Specified Commercial Transactions (特定商取引法), and other mandatory consumer-protection statutes.
- South Korea: consumers retain the protections of the Framework Act on Consumers (소비자기본법) and the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (전자상거래법).
- California: consumers retain the protections of the California Consumer Privacy Act / California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA).
- Australia, Brazil, Canada, and other jurisdictions: consumers retain the protections of their local mandatory consumer-protection law (e.g., Australian Consumer Law, Código de Defesa do Consumidor, applicable Canadian provincial consumer-protection acts).
Forum. A consumer may bring an action in the courts of their country of residence, and TriAstra agrees to submit to the personal jurisdiction of those courts for consumer claims. For non-consumer claims, the exclusive forum is the Seoul Central District Court (서울중앙지방법원), subject to any binding arbitration agreement that applies under Section 12.2.
14. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via:
- Email notification to your registered email address
- In-app notification
- Notice on our website
Material changes will take effect 30 days after notification. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.
