Saju (Four Pillars) Structure & Patterns Advanced

Jin-Jong (True Following)

Jin-Jong is a True Following structure where the Day Master completely surrenders to the dominant element, gaining power by flowing with rather than resisting the chart's overwhelming force.

What is Jin-Jong (True Following)?

Jin-Jong occurs when the Day Master has zero support — no rooting, no seasonal help, no resource stars — and one element overwhelms the chart completely. In this case, the DM abandons its own nature and follows the dominant force. True Following is rare and powerful: the person succeeds by fully aligning with the dominant element rather than asserting individual identity. There are five Jong subtypes by element: Gokjik (Wood), Yeomsang (Fire), Gasaek (Earth), Jonghyeok (Metal), Yunha (Water). The Yongsin for Jin-Jong supports the dominant element, not the DM.

How TriAstra Uses Jin-Jong (True Following)

TriAstra distinguishes Jin-Jong from Ga-Jong by checking for complete absence of DM support, applying reversed Yongsin logic when confirmed.
