Budhaditya Yoga

Budhaditya Yoga forms when Sun and Mercury conjoin in the same sign, bestowing intelligence, eloquence, and analytical ability.

What is Budhaditya Yoga?

Budha (Mercury) + Aditya (Sun) Yoga is one of the most common yogas since Mercury never strays more than 28° from the Sun. However, its strength varies significantly. The yoga is strongest when Mercury is not combust (within 14° of Sun), when both occupy a Kendra or Trikona, and when they are in signs of dignity (Mercury in Gemini/Virgo, Sun in Leo/Aries). When strong, it grants sharp intellect, communication skills, and success in intellectual pursuits. A combust Mercury weakens the yoga considerably.

How TriAstra Uses Budhaditya Yoga

TriAstra detects Budhaditya Yoga and evaluates its strength based on combustion distance, house placement, and sign dignity of both planets.

What Budhaditya Yoga Means for You

If you have a strong Budhaditya Yoga, you likely excel at communication, analysis, and intellectual work. Check if Mercury is combust — distance from Sun matters greatly.
