This ancient technique advances one house per year from the Ascendant. At age 0 you're in a 1st house year, age 1 in a 2nd house year, and so on, cycling every 12 years. The ruler of your profected house becomes the Time Lord for that year, and its natal placement and transits become especially important. Profections add context to what transits might manifest.
